Kanaalstraat 38, 9301 LTDiscover the captivating ‘Surface and Depth’ exhibition at Kunstencentrum K38, running from March 8 to April 6, 2025. The exhibition features a dynamic range of works by four Verkuno members and six national guest artists, exploring the theme of surface and depth through diverse mediums and techniques.
Opening on Friday, March 7 at 8:00 PM, the event will be inaugurated by diver Jelte Hielkema, who will share insights about the concept of depth. The exhibition presents a wide variety of art forms, from photography and paintings to sculptures in metal, wood, plastic, and glass. The works range from abstract to figurative, with some even delving deep into memories.
The participating artists include Fat Breunis, Marleen van Engelen, Arien de Groot, Ilona Hakvoort, Maxelant Harmsze, Thea Hoek, Pauline Jonkers, Hans van der Mark, Betty Simonides, and Peter the Fish.
On Sunday, March 16, visual artist Ida van der Lee will deliver a lecture titled ‘Per square cm to the cubic interior space’, exploring the relationship between space and art.
