Filmvandaag.nl gives this movie a rating of 7.7 and 80& liked it on Google, making it definitely worth a watch! And ideally at the RKZ Cinema, of course. 

On a trip through southern France, Rex (Gene Bervoets) loses sight of his fiancée Saskia (Johanna ter Steege) during a stop at a gas station. Suddenly, she has vanished. Rex then becomes caught in a spiral of despair and obsession. He is determined to find out what happened to his missing love. To uncover the truth, he must go through the same experience as Saskia did.

Spoorloos has recently been restored and re-released by Eye. The screenplay of this thrilling film, filled with underlying tension, is based on the novel The Golden Egg (1984) by Dutch author Tim Krabbé. This acclaimed psychological thriller, directed by George Sluizer (1933-2014), won both a Golden Calf and the Dutch Film Critics Award at the Netherlands Film Festival in 1988.
