The American indie rock band The War On Drugs has been a well-known name in the music world for years. The band has steadily risen as one of the biggest synthesizer-rich rock and roll bands of this century, and as a full-fledged headliner, they’ve rocked many festivals. The seven-piece effortlessly bridges the gap between underground and mainstream, between the dark and the epic. The first two albums initially gained only limited recognition in small circles. It was their third album, Lost in the Dream, released in 2014, that brought the band to breakthrough success. Soon, they were performing at major festivals worldwide, including their first headline set at the Dutch festival Down The Rabbit Hole in 2015.

Years have passed since then, and the Americans have amassed numerous concerts, international Top 40 hits, and a Grammy award. After performances at the Ziggo Dome, Pinkpop, Lowlands, and Down The Rabbit Hole, we are delighted to welcome the synth rockers back to De Oosterpoort.
