Peperstraat 8-2, 9711 PD GroningenThe Woods is a four-piece modern blues rock band from Groningen, drawing from the tradition of 1970s roots rock, soul and blues. Their sound is defined by soulful vocals, melodic guitar solos and powerful keyboard lines. Frontman and guitarist Joris Bos has been writing and performing since the age of fifteen, contributing to the band’s tight and confident interplay. Their EP Good to See You received strong critical acclaim, while the single Underneath the Sun enjoyed extensive airplay on stations including NPO Soul & Jazz. In 2025, The Woods reached the finals of the Dutch Blues Challenge. On stage, the band delivers high-energy performances, backed by a catalogue of multiple EPs and the album Live at Vera (2025).
