Singer-songwriter Carson McHone from Texas released Carousel in 2018, produced by Mike McCarthy. It was a reimagining of songs from her youth when she was growing up and playing in pubs. Rolling Stone Magazine selected this album as one of the “40 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2018”.

McHone has recorded and toured a total of three albums as a member of the Outfit, Cobra Poems (2022), La Luna (2023), and Too Hot To Sleep (2024). Her upcoming EP ODES is a collection of carefully curated covers recorded at Camera Varda with her bandmates from the Outfit, plus special guest Shannon McGrath, and will be released on July 19, 2024. Along with the announcement of this new EP, McHone released a beautiful cover of Arthur Russell’s I Couldn’t See Your Face.
