During this edition of De Wijk De Wereld, stories from Selwerd take center stage: stories from the residents themselves, shared with each other and the rest of the city. Because when people share and visualize their stories, space is created for meeting, understanding, and living together.

De Wijk De Wereld facilitates encounters between residents and professional makers. Together, they translate the stories from the neighborhood into a performance full of theater, dance, music, film, and more. Some participants are stepping onto a stage for the first time, while others contribute behind the scenes. This results in a production that is not just about the neighborhood, but truly emerges from it.

For this edition, makers Sanam Tahmasebi, Ada Daniele & Shara Maaskant, Lies van de Wiel, and Nic Bruckman are collaborating with residents from Selwerd.
