Noord Nederlands Orkest
De Oosterpoort
Trompsingel 27, 9724 DA GroningenStep into a world where symphonic music and technology meet. During Hello World!, you will discover the North Netherlands Orchestra like never before: interactive and connected with today’s technology. This is not a classical concert, but an experience where you walk around, watch, listen, and participate. Discover a new way of experiencing music with a glimpse into the future.
Technology is everywhere. In our pockets, in our homes, and in the systems that guide our daily lives. It connects and accelerates, but also changes how we watch and listen. During Hello World!, the North Netherlands Orchestra explores what this development means for music of today and centuries ago.
On June 19, De Oosterpoort will transform into a laboratory for technology and sound. In the Great Hall, you will see the orchestra in unexpected setups, sounds will be enhanced by visuals, and you will hear a composition created with the help of AI. Outside the hall, you can discover interactive installations and performances by students from the Prince Claus Conservatoire and Minerva Art Academy.
Hello World! is not a traditional concert, but a journey of discovery. An evening that challenges you to look differently, listen differently, and become part of the experience yourself.
The involved Hanze programs are from Prince Claus Conservatoire, Minerva Art Academy, Frank Mohr Institute, Creative Media & Game Technology, Communication & Multimedia Design, Facility Management, and Noorderpoort Art & Multimedia. In collaboration with the Beeldcoalitie and CrossWise/SPOT Groningen.
