Four VERA Favorites on stage and on screen

Four of our favorite Groningen bands live on stage and—for those staying at home—live on your screen (twitch.tv/veragroningen). A unique evening in VERA where you are very welcome in our Main Hall, but which you can also experience entirely from your comfy chair. To celebrate all the beautiful things happening in pop city Groningen. Simply because we can.

Real Farmer
Real Farmer have spent more time in the UK than in the Netherlands over the past few months and they already proved to be in the best form of their life when they supported Protomartyr at VERA. Their 2024 album Compare What’s There ranks among the best guitar-driven music the Netherlands has produced in the last decade and the subsequent singles promise a lot for 2026.

Frontsector
Frontsector’s live reputation earned them a VERA Poll award for Best Downstage Concert of the Year, and that reputation has only grown since. Hardcore punk straight from the textbooks and a welcomed guest at every stage where you can crank up the music loud.

Cashmyra
The album sterven doe je toch wel (“you’re going to die anyway”) saw the light in 2025 and hit like a bomb: crushingly honest, blunt, and intimate, only to veer mercilessly out of control again two seconds later in a sea of guitar. Cashmyra began as a duo but has since grown into a trio with an extra guitarist and now sounds completely fully formed.

Vanity Box
Debut album Good Luck, See You Friday immediately made waves among the “shoegazeyolatengopop” enthusiasts, and after an impressive release show we are eagerly looking forward to the new record currently being recorded.

Drop by from 8 PM, but those staying home won’t be bored either. In collaboration with Kei Creations, we’ll be broadcasting the entire event live on your screen.
