Confrontational literary pub rock
The Australians of Bad//Dreems play a rough mix of punk and rock with influences from Australian rock history. The band also draws inspiration from American acts like Wipers and DEVO. They address topics such as dystopia and isolation, suburban boredom, and male identity.
Their latest album HOO HA! was released in 2023, a collection of literary pub rock where high and low culture come together to tell stories about current politics and Australian history. On July 5th, Bad//Dreems will visit VERA to share this story.
Utrecht-based No Brains will provide the support for the evening! They performed in our Kelderbar at the end of October, and now they're returning with their energetic garage punk. Without a plan, mission, or message, but mainly to entertain themselves and make a lot of noise.
