Fahrenheit 251

Fahrenheit 251, led by drummer/composer Bruno Timarchi, blends jazz’s iconic II-V-I progression with the subversive energy of Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451. Constantly evolving, the band reshapes its lineup based on Bruno’s location, offering fresh perspectives on old concepts through inventive compositions driven by curiosity, life’s nuances and a playful approach to music.

Jeneson/Markunaite Quartet

The J/M Quartet was created out of a collaboration between Dutch jazz saxophonist Jan Jeneson and Lithuanian pianist/keyboardist Lija Markunaite. Both are studying jazz music at the Prins Claus Conservatory, but at the same time, they’re inspired by many types of music that lie outside the jazz idiom. With their quartet, they bring all their inspirations together and make a great fusion of it, with jazz as a guiding principle.
Expect a set of groovy jazz music, with influences from hip-hop, house, dub, funk, fusion, and much more. The band only plays its own music, the majority of which is live improvisation. This makes every performance a unique musical experience, which can go in all different kinds of directions. You can dance, the hip-hop heads can bob, but sometimes the music can also be unexpectedly small and intimate. In short, music to experience.
