John Cale is an influential Welsh musician, composer and producer, best known as one of the founders of the experimental rock band The Velvet Underground. In addition to his work with the band, in which he played a crucial role in developing their unique sound, Cale has built an extensive solo career. His music ranges from rock and classical to electronic and minimalist compositions. As a producer, he has contributed to albums by artists such as Patti Smith, The Stooges and Nick Drake, leaving a lasting impact on the music world.
