Luke Winslow-King, from Cadillac, Michigan, is a rock & roll guitarist, singer, producer and songwriter. After 15 years in New Orleans, he moved to Spain and continues to perform authentic folk music worldwide. His album Old/New Baby (2008) was awarded “Best Blues Artist” by Gambit Magazine. In 2018, his hit song “I’m Glad Trouble Don’t Last Always” reached more than 10 million streams on Spotify. In 2022, he became a member of the Grammy Recording Academy.

The Luke Winslow-King Band plays with Roberto Luti, an Italian guitar master who became famous for his work in New Orleans and with the Playing For Change project. The band toured worldwide, performing at festivals such as Austin City Limits, New Orleans JazzFest, Glastonbury and Paradiso, and supporting such artists as Jack White and Taj Mahal.

Winslow-King’s eighth album Flash-A-Magic will be released on Sept. 6, 2024, with contributions from Rev. Charles Hodges (Al Green) and the Sensational Barnes Brothers. The album offers King’s signature roots blues, following the success of his previous album If These Walls Could Talk (2022), which generated 5 million streams.
