Selah Sue & The Gallands is the result of an organic collaboration between singer Selah Sue and Belgian musicians Stéphane and Elvin Galland. The foundation for this project lies in the Gallands’ musical universe: a mix of contemporary jazz, progressive production, and organic grooves. When Selah Sue joined them, the instrumental compositions took on a new dimension. Her powerful voice and distinct musical personality transformed the music into complete songs, where soul and improvisation meet.

On stage, the trio constantly seeks the balance between craftsmanship and freedom. Stéphane Galland (known for Aka Moon and Ibrahim Maalouf) brings his experience as a jazz drummer, while Elvin provides a fresh, adventurous sound. Selah Sue, with her unique voice, is the connecting factor.

The live band also includes bassist Louise van den Heuvel and backing vocalists Stephanie Rugurika and Judith Okon. After a strong debut at Jazz Middelheim, the collective is now working on their first album, which will be followed by a tour from March to September 2026.
