Poelestraat 30, 9712 KB GroningenVanity Box brings together familiar faces from the Groningen music scene. In the summer of 2024, the band recorded their debut album Good Luck, See You Friday with producer Harmen Ridderbos. Rooted in the lineage of American guitar bands inspired by The Velvet Underground, and informed by British shoegaze influences, Vanity Box balances restraint and texture with a strong sense of melody. The album was mastered in England by Simon Scott of Slowdive. Over the past two years, the band has built a solid live reputation, with a well-attended release show at VERA Groningen in February 2025 and performances at festivals including Left of the Dial, Noorderzon and winSUMMERfest.
