Siddeburen in Midden-Groningen
Siddeburen is a village in the municipality of Midden-Groningen, located about 20 kilometers east of the city of Groningen. It has around 3,500 residents and lies centrally between Hoogezand, Delfzijl, and Appingedam.
History and culture
Siddeburen originated in the Middle Ages along an ancient sand ridge. Its center is home to the 13th-century Reformed Church, a landmark that still defines the village. The community has an active social life and is regionally known for events such as the annual Bokpop music festival.
