The film shows how music connects people, and how unlikely family ties can lead to genuine friendships. Thibaut (Benjamin Lavernhe) is a successful conductor, Jimmy (Pierre Lottin) plays with the local brass band. They are brothers but do not know of each other's existence. Until Thibaut seeks a bone marrow donor. Adoption has made their lives completely different, but their love of music brings them closer together. When Thibaut discovers Jimmy's musical talent, the brothers turn out to have more in common than thought.

En fanfare had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and became a crowd favourite. From the San Sebastián Film Festival to Film by the Sea in Vlissingen. En fanfare won audience awards at festivals worldwide. Our Filmclub watched the film as a preview and gave En fanfare an average score of 8.8, the highest scoring Filmclub film to date.
