OPMAAT – North Netherlands Orchestra & Grasnapolsky

The North Netherlands Orchestra and Grasnapolsky launch OPMAAT, a new recurring concept. For the first time, the symphony orchestra and the discovery festival join forces for an evening full of musical discoveries at SPOT Groningen.

First edition programme

Edison Award winner Sef is the first confirmed Grasnapolsky act. Sef recently released his new album Lieve Monsters and, like the North Netherlands Orchestra, made an unforgettable impression this summer with a show at Lowlands’ Alpha stage. His autumn tour is almost completely sold out; his show in the small hall during OPMAAT is his only club show in the north of the Netherlands. In total, three acts will be programmed by Grasnapolsky. The North Netherlands Orchestra will perform two 30-minute sets in the main hall – from film music to classical masterpieces. The other two Grasnapolsky acts completing the OPMAAT programme will be announced in the coming weeks.

Choose your own route during this festival evening, from Sef to a symphonic piece. Linger at art or installations in the corridors. Grab a drink at the bar. No fixed seats or compulsory programme.
