John D, a man in his seventies who lives in a luxury hotel on the Côte d'Azur, is fascinated by his neighbour. She reminds him of his wild years on the Riviera in the 1960s. 

He was then a spy in a promising but rapidly changing world. One day, his neighbour mysteriously disappears... and John is confronted with his demons. Will his idyllic world be disrupted by his former adversaries, who have returned to create chaos?
