At the Oude Boteringestraat, there are two elegant boutique hotels, Hotel Corps de Garde and Hotel Halbert. Both have a partnership with restaurant Blumé, located on the ground floor of Hotel Halbert. The restaurant opened its doors at the beginning of 2023 and immediately secured a prominent place in Groningen's culinary scene.
Blumé is a fine dining restaurant led by chef Henrice Dijks. He was previously the owner of Bistro 't Gerecht, which was highly esteemed in major restaurant guides. At Blumé, he and his team create seasonal dishes from the modern French cuisine, offered in tasting menus of 3, 5, 6, or 7 courses. The menu can be made entirely vegetarian upon request and can be complemented with drinks from the wine list.
Blumé has also been recognized in restaurant guides. The restaurant is featured in the Michelin Guide, which states that Henrice Dijks "knows how to combine excitement with skilled preparation." Additionally, Gault & Millau praises both the food and the interior design and attentive service.
Restaurant Blumé is open from Monday to Saturday starting at 18:00. On Monday to Thursday, tasting menus of 3, 5, or 7 courses are available, while on Friday and Saturday, options of 5, 6, or 7 courses are offered.
