Textielhub Groningen

The Textielhub Groningen is an innovative and creative incubator located at Energieweg 17, focused on the sustainability of the textile industry. It is a collaborative initiative from G-ROND, Alfa-college, Municipality of Groningen, Groningen Works Circular, Hanze University of Applied Sciences, and Noorderpoort.

At this hub, circular textile innovations are developed, educational programs are offered to residents and students, and it provides social work and participation opportunities for people who are unable to work in the regular labor market.

Visitors can participate in workshops, swap clothes, purchase sustainable or reused products, and use the lending service. Additionally, there is an active educational program for schools and businesses.

The Textielhub is part of a larger circular ecosystem in the area around Energieweg, where initiatives such as Bouwhub and House of Design are also located. Together, they form a vibrant place for innovation, sustainability, and collaboration in Groningen.
