Crafting with Chestnuts from the Noorderplantsoen
Would you prefer to craft at home with the children? Then a visit to the Lady Lemonade website is worthwhile. Here you'll find nice inspiration to organize an autumn crafting afternoon: https://www.ladylemonade.nl/knutselen-met-kastanjes/

In good weather, you naturally go to Stadspark Groningen. There's a petting zoo, playground, you can ride ponies, and there's a nice kiosk for some treats. You can also take nice walks. If you brave the wildlife grids, you'll pass the Scottish Highlanders.
Climbing Ropes in the Noorderplantsoen Groningen
The Noorderplantsoen is always good, you can collect beautiful leaves and chestnuts here, but there are also many places where children can play. There are two basketball courts and of course the iconic climbing ropes!

Bouncy Castle Festival Groningen | Martiniplaza | October 26 - 29, 2024

The bouncy castle festival takes place in Martiniplaza from October 26 to 29, 2024. Click here for more information.
Cinekid Festival | Forum Groningen
Throughout the autumn break, you can participate with your kids in The Cinekid Festival. Besides Workshops and Films, you can also learn all about the world of artificial intelligence during the Cinekid LAB and enter a new world with your VR glasses! How cool is that?

You can climb, play, and play games there.
SIX the Musical | Martiniplaza in Groningen | Oct 30 to Nov 2
Four nights in a row to SIX! If you have a teenage daughter now, she will certainly know what this is about! As a mother of one son, it was totally unknown to me. Yet this should not be missing from the list. "SIX the Musical" is THE hit among teenage girls! The show tells the story of the six wives of King Henry VIII, but with a modern twist. Each woman has her own powerful number, which provides a hefty dose of girl power and self-expression. The catchy music and colorful costumes make it irresistible. Teenage girls can identify well with the stories, and you see that reflected on social media, where they sing songs and recreate costumes. In short, "SIX" is not just a musical, but a real movement for empowerment and creativity!
Vreemd Ding (6+) | Musical performance on October 29 | The Machine Factory
Do you want to teach your children something about integration? Then this is a recommendation. The performance contains no spoken language and can also be understood if you don't speak Dutch. What the creator wants to show children is that you can only really make contact if you dare to be yourself - also with others. (Evgenia Brendes)
Is talking to a cat strange? Or burping after eating? And who actually determines what's 'strange'? In the performance Vreemd Ding, you end up in a world full of wonderful customs and peculiar rules. Until one day that world is turned completely upside down. A imaginative and musical performance full of comical situations about finding your own voice.
